SNAKES & LADDERS

2022 / A gift for my friend Julie

Instead of a normal baby quilt, I made a keep the toddler occupied quilt. In Canada this game is snakes and ladders, in America it’s chutes. Snakes are better.

Method: I free-formed this pattern using all fabric and supplies I had already. The ladders are custom made bias tape and the snakes were made with pellon fusible interfacing and machine details.

I originally planned to do a free motion stippling pattern, but it was very busy, so I did simple ties on the back instead.
